Once a year we have a day to honor all our volunteers and supporting organizations/businesses. This is an opportunity to come out and talk with the FoRRC Board of Directors and other users of our Open Space. At the picnic area we have a number of information tables/tents for you to ask questions or give feedback to groups who have activities in RRC. We will be working on a special trail in Red Rock Canyon. It is a surprise for you and me. Red Rock Canyon Trail Build & Repair Workday

The East Fork Sand Canyon Trail needs one more day of work to be completed.  The Friends of Red Rock Canyon and Manitou Springs Trail Cats started building this 3/4 mile new trail in April and May.  The City has hired a contractor to continue the work mechanically.  It is a great trail in the south west part of the park, with intimate trees and great views. Quarry Pass Trail Work Day

Red Rock Canyon Open Space received significant damages from the May 2015 springs rains. Although the park reopened to the public, the amount of flood damage done will require lots of work over the coming weeks and months to repair. RMFI will be partnering with the City of Colorado Springs and the Friends of Red Rock Canyon to address the highest priority areas in the park. Culturally Modified Trees in Ute Valley Park
