Karl Klepfer (past president of FORRC) will lead the effort to have a memorial for Don Ellis placed in the park. Don, single handedly, was responsible for preserving our open space. Work on the Lion Trail reroute is out to bid and should be completed by fall. New signs in the park entrances will prohibit e-bikes and shooting in the park. Communication with the city forester is being held to place shade trees by the picnic tables at the picnic parking lot. Fencing will be installed on the Rim Trail where the FoRRC installed new head walls and closed two rogue trails. Colorado Springs Climbers Alliance installed lockable anchors for fire department training near main parking lot.
