The TOPS Working Committee met on 2/9/22 and the status of the land fill was discussed. The City has completed its corrective action plan to bring the land fill into compliance with state law. Major problems have been fixed involving large landscape improvements and the filling of the “upper pond” on the south end of the park with fill dirt to mitigate the illegal dam there. The State will continue to monitor the land fill to ensure compliance.
The Board discussed the City’s plans to rename several trails and would like to review a map of the name changes before it is submitted to the Parks Advisory Board.
The City is planning several trail reroutes to include portions of Hogback Valley, Sand Canyon, Parallel and Waterfall Trails.
