7-26-18 Board Work Night

Glenn, Laura, David, Dan and Denise had a productive evening closing a rogue trail. We really don’t care for fences or signs in our park but they are a necessary evil. This is one way we try to eliminate rogue trails.  A rogue trail is one that was not specifically designed and built to be sustainable (meaning long-lasting with a minimum of maintenance). This type of trail will lead to erosion and degradation of our park. They erected two post and rail fences, moved rocks to the tread of the closed trail and transplanted numerous plants under and around the fences.  The sign in the picture is to deter further use of the rogue trail.
