Geology Walk & Talk

July 17, 2013 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Each outcrop of rock in Red Rock Canyon Open Space is like a page in a history book of  ancient Colorado Springs.  Every rock has a story to tell about its prehistoric ecosystem and the fossil evidence reveals that Colorado Springs was once vastly different. The dramatic ridges and canyons in Red Rock Canyon reveal over 300 million years of geologic time. Come hear the story and read the rocks with paleontology researcher, Sharon Milito.  Light refreshments will be provided.   Please RSVP, as space is limited, via the Friends of Red Rock Canyon at either friends@redrockcanyonopenspace.org or call David at 685-4792.
