Trails
There are approximately 16 miles of trail in Red Rock Canyon Open Space, including Section 16 and White Acres. These trails are reached from the S. Ridge Road entrance to Red Rock Canyon south of U.S. 24 between the 31st Street traffic light and the Manitou Springs exit, from the Section 16 Trailhead on Gold Camp Road, and from the 31st Street Trailhead which is approximately one block south of U.S. 24 on 31st Street. The 31st Street trailhead has parking for horse trailers.

Pets must be kept on leash on all trails in Red Rock Canyon Open Space except the two off-leash dog loops.

These trails are constructed and maintained largely through the work of volunteers. Check volunteer opportunities on our website or the Colorado Springs Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services to learn about volunteer projects.
